Hand knits & Clothing

Our hand knits are knit with acrylic yarns. These yarns are washer & dryer safe.

However we suggest with all handmade items a gentle wash and hang to dry will prolong the life of the garments, Allowing for years of enjoyment.

Cloth diapers

Cloth diapers are made with natural fabrics, these fabrics can withstand wear and tear and rigorous wash routines.

Whats worked for us?

Rinse diapers after use, store until washing in a diaper pail or bag {with ventilation} 

Wash on cold with tide {after 18 years of cloth diapering this is the only deterent that has worked well} 

Dry in machine or line. Sunlight is your natural stain remover!

Wool Diaper Covers 

Gently hand wash in a luke warm bath with a gentle baby soap.

Lanolize as needed.

Acrylic as a diaper cover

Did you know that acrylic works like fleece when used as a diaper cover?
Instead of obsorbing the wet {like wool} acrylic pushes the wet back into the diaper, keeping it all contained. The biggest difference {aside from acrylioc being a man made fiber as opposed to a natural fiber like wool} is that acrylic diaper covers need to be washed more often, But this can be done with your regular laundry.
